Rovereto, 06 October 2025 – Habitech has been awarded the tender by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to support the construction of the new student residence within the Student City complex in Belgrade, a project that expands and renovates the existing campus, currently accommodating over 4,600 students.
Student City is the main university residential hub in the Serbian capital and already includes four dormitories, a canteen, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, as well as a Cultural Center with an auditorium, reading rooms, and spaces for artistic and recreational activities. It is designed to integrate study, interpersonal connections, and well-being in students’ daily life.
The new residence will further enhance the campus, providing modern and functional spaces to support the daily life of a dynamic and growing student community.
Habitech will provide support during the design phase, offering technical consultancy to implement LEED requirements, the internationally recognized standard for building sustainability. The consultancy aims to optimize architectural and system design choices, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and sustainable results.
The team working alongside Habitech will include SADA Architects and Krip Inženjering, ensuring a multidisciplinary and integrated approach to the project.
“Being involved in an international project of this scale allows us to bring our expertise to a vision that combines functionality with environmental responsibility,” says Francesco Gasperi, General Director. “LEED certification provides a concrete tool to increase the value and sustainability of the campus for all students.”
This project underscores Habitech’s role as a benchmark for innovation and sustainability, demonstrating its capacity to manage complex international projects with an integrated and strategic vision.
